Every parent's reward...

My 12yo came home with two outstanding pieces of paper on Monday.

The first was his Student of the Week award for: "his honesty and for his selflessness which he regularly demonstrates"

Good grief, could I ask for anything more?

The second was a note from the office: "Dear Student, Thank you for handing in the money you found in to the office. I am now returning it to you and thank you for your honesty."

Wow. I did something right there. Or maybe not, maybe it's just him. Either way, happy Mummy!

Checking the 3yo's comprehension...

12yo to 3yo: "What colour is a yellow bus?"

3yo: "Blue!"

12yo: "What colour is a blue dress?"

3yo: "Pink!" (Should have seen that one coming...)

12yo: "What colour is a purple turtle?"

3yo: "Green!"

12yo: "What colour is a black bear?"

3yo: "Scary!!" (Runs for cuddles with 12yo..)

How cute is she?

Interesting to note that she knows a colour response is required, but hasn't made the link between the bus being called a 'yellow bus' and it being a yellow colour. Maybe it'll come in a few months.
